With the recent changes for town centre parking causing some confusion for car park users on where best to park, the BID have looked at how we can help. We have more spaces available then previously, but at the moment they are not all being used. We wanted to help explain what’s happened and help people find best parking for them.
So far we have…..
- Produced a banner for the entrance to the old Causeway car park, directing people to Link Road / Northgate End as alternatives.
- We have had two videos made, one on all the parking options available in the town centre and one specifically on Northgate End car park showing what is available there. These are have been / are being shared across social media and our Discover Stortford website.
- Updated the Discover Stortford parking section on the website with the changes.
- Written about the changes in local press, including our regular columns in the Bishop’s Stortford Independent, The Flyer and also an advertorial in Axis magazine.
- We have had an A5 leaflet designed and printed for you to give your customers who are unsure where they can now park. Please let me know if you’d like a batch.
- We are in discussion with East Herts council re the electronic signage around the town centre to see if we can get the updated and working again.
