The Nockolds Business Hub is a series of 4 seminars, which address a wide range of commercial legal issues to give you, as a person with the responsibility for running a business, the opportunity to learn key concepts of the law that affect your business, giving you the knowledge to help you navigate legal challenges that come your way.
Managing a business constantly involves overcoming issues and making decisions and often those decisions can have legal ramifications. Nockolds are committed to helping our clients and local businesses thrive. Through these seminars you will be able hear, face-to-face, an overview of the law from specialist commercial lawyers and have a greater understanding of some of the legal issues that may impact your business either now or in the future.
The series of seminars are free and are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Each presentation will be around 20 minutes long, followed with the opportunity to speak to the team of lawyers.

- 14 February: George Burton, Senior Associate, Dispute Resolution – “Protecting your company’s brand”, your company’s intellectual property is valuable, so it is important that you learn what it is, how to protect it and what action you could take if someone does infringe it.
- 14 March: Kimberley Wallace, Senior HR Consultant, Nockolds HR – “Attracting and retaining staff”, we will look at the current challenges for employers in recruiting and retaining staff. Whilst considering what innovative businesses are doing to navigate these issues, from reward, to culture, to working arrangements. We’ll provide our recommendations and some ideas for local businesses to consider implementing.
- 11 April: Saagar Mehta, Associate, Dispute Resolution – “Recovering debt owed to your business”, this seminar will go through the various options available to businesses when their invoices are not paid and how to recover monies owed to them.
- 9 May – Gary Smith, Partner, Employment Team – “Current employment law topic“: discussing key current employment law topics you need to know about. Specific topics tbc.
