Bishop’s Stortford Neighbourhood Plan (revisions) Consultation

Bishop’s Stortford Town Council is undertaking a limited revision of the two Neighbourhood Plans which together cover the whole of the Civil Parish and part of the adjacent Parish of Thorley.  The plans were initially made in 2015 (Bishop’s Stortford Neighbourhood Plan for Silverleys and Meads Wards) and 2017 (Bishop’s Stortford Neighbourhood Plan for All Saints, Central, South and part of Thorley).

The objective is to bring them up to date and better align the policies across the town.  It is proposed to introduce two new sections with policies on Climate Change and the Town Centre, to make fairly extensive amendments to the policies on Green Infrastructure and Transport, and lesser changes to policies in other areas.  The documentation for the revised plans can be found online at www.stortfordplan.org.

They are now undertaking formal consultation under Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 Consultation during the period between 8th February 2021 and 22nd March 2021.
