Last month the Bishop’s Stortford BID wrote to Julie Marson MP with our concerns about the Cost of Living and the High Street. With little being done to protect businesses with soaring energy costs, we know the sense of worry many of you are feeling right now as we head into winter. You can read a copy of our letter here.
We asked for a comprehensive response for Government, and for Julie to champion our high street businesses and give examples of how difficult it is right now.

We have been assured backing business is important to the Government and that she will “bear the very real concerns of the BID in mind when in discussion with my colleagues on the matter of the current situation”.
