As part of the upcoming AGM (5 October) we would like to invite anyone interested in joining the BID board to contact us by Wednesday 30 September.
Board members should be enthusiastic, positive and keen to work with the other Board Members, Directors, Chair and BID Manager to deliver the already agreed Business Plan. This can be viewed here. Board members should have a range of skills, however no formal professional qualifications are required. It is more important that they display a positive attitude and a willingness to support and champion the aims of the BID.
The Board meet monthly (on the last Wednesday of the month at 6pm) and part of the commitment of being a Board Member means you need to attend these meetings regularly. In addition the Board has formed sub committees to look after specific areas of the Business Plan. Board Members are invited to join a sub committee.
The Board will be fully accountable to BID levy payers and will consist entirely of representatives from BID levy paying organisations or be approved voluntary contributors to the BID.
