We have been liaising with Herts Highways about upcoming roadworks around the town, and they have shared with us the upcoming works. We continue to ask them to look at the full picture when there are mulitple works to ensure the traffic is kept moving as much as is possible around these essential works. You will see below three contractors are working on Hadham Road at the same time during the closure, which is a positive step.

Location: Hazelend Road between Michaels Road and Gipsy Lane
Dates: 20 March – 12 April 2023
Traffic Management: 24/7 road closure
Description: Thames Water mains installation works in association with Avanti Meadows
More information: To reduce disruption the closure will be restricted to small sections to maintain access for residents and business’ either side of the closure.

Traffic Management: Stop and go boards between the hours of 9:30am – 3:30pm.
Description: Thames Water require stop and go boards to manage vehicular movements for the delivery and removal of site materials. Movements and traffic management are restricted to the hours of 9:30am -3:30pm.

Traffic Management: 24/7 road closure with extended working hours. Gatemen in operation to manage access for residents within the closure. Advanced communications and robust signage.
Description: Utility Connections by Affinity Water & UK Power Network and Site Investigation Works by Ringway on behalf of HCC
More information: The three contractors will be working collaboratively under this one road closure to prevent the need to close the road on 3 separate occasions. This will save roughly 1 week of road space.
