We are excited to bring to Bishop’s Stortford a fun family activity this Christmas time. Whilst many events and activities have sadly had to be cancelled this year, this particular one can be done safely, in a socially distanced way in your family groups outdoors.
What’s Involved
The Gingerbread family have set up home in shops and in cafe windows across the town centre area. From the Dad to the dog, the baby girl to the cat, the whole family has arrived! The idea is to locate them all and make a note of the letter you will see displayed on the base of each one. When you have found all 10, you will have need to rearrange the letters you have to make a Christmas word. Post your completed entry into the post box by Smiggle in Jackson Square and you will then be entered into the draw to be in with a chance to win an iPad mini!
Where to find the trail booklet
Trail booklets are available to pick up from a stand next to Smiggle in Jackson Square, in a number of shops and cafes, The independent newspaper office and in the Tourist Information Centre on Market Square. A downloadable version can also be found at the bottom of this page for anyone who would prefer that. The trail booklet includes a map to give you an idea where you might find our gingerbread friends.
How to enter
It’s free to enter, and we hope you have a wonderful time exploring our town centre this Christmas time. Whilst walking around take a moment to enjoy the many beautiful Christmas shop windows, pop in for a hot chocolate to warm up and support our local businesses where you can. They’d love to see you 🙂
