The cost of living crisis and energy bills is a serious concern for us all right now. As a BID we are looking at what we can to support businesses through this. A update so far:
- We have written to Julie Marson MP (7 September) to request her help in representing the dire situation businesses are facing and how urgent support is needed. You can read the letter here.
- We are members of the Association of Town and City Managers (ATCM) and attended a webinar on Thursday 8 September where the data and forecasts were presented, as well as updates from Tesco on what they are doing. Slides will be added here when we have them.
- Business SOS is a campaign which has been set up by Croydon BID and a number of organisations. We have pledged our support to this, and you can read more on this here.
