This is what we currently know about the grants available to businesses.
Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) – next payment
This is for businesses mandated to close by the Government during the lockdown who have liability for business rates. It is administered by East Herts and you can apply online. If you applied for the November closure period and nothing has changed since, you will have received a payment in January for the first period of closures automatically. You will now receive the next payment w/c 15 March for the period of closure up to 31 March. You do not need to apply, payment will be made automatically.
If anything has changed in your business, you are a new business, or you did not apply for the previous grants for whatever reason, please use the link below and you apply here. If you have already received other grant payments and nothing has changed you DO NOT need to reapply.

Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG Discretionary)
The scheme is aimed at businesses which were NOT mandated to close during the lockdowns and Tier restriction periods, but have suffered despite being able to remain open. It is also available to businesses which were mandated to close but are not liable for business rates. Applicants must confirm that they have lost at least 20% of their turnover since January 2021, compared with the same period the previous year. You will need to apply online to East Herts by 31 March.

Restart Grant
As announced by the Chancellor in the budget £5 billion is being made available for new Restart Grants – a one off cash grant of up to £18,000 for hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses in England. This will also be administered by East Herts and at present they do not have further details on the breakdown on amounts and when this will be available. We will provide an update as soon as more details are provided.
